Health Is Wealth.
A shift
Did i mention I grew up in a rural setup? A small village, dusty with services such as healthcare, education, or transportation, being few and far between. Running water? Nope, electricity? None, internet? What’s that? Actually, our daily tasks of walking distances to get to a service, be it school or fetching firewood, kept us fit and healthy, i think.
Because this is all we knew, we were happy and content, however, there came a time when we had to do further learning, our education in the village only went up to high school, beyond that one would have had to relocate to an urban area for tertiary education.
Moving to an urban area marked a turning point in many ways. It certainly influenced various aspects of my lifestyle. It offed many things, including convenience. Some of the conveniences being the sudden exposure to cheap fast foods, the reliance on cars, public transport in my case shifted my daily routines, providing ease of movement but reducing physical activity compared to the more active lifestyles I grew up living.
